What to visit during your stay
Cornwall is renowned for its splendid coastline,
there are many sandy beaches and coves to explore. Penzance, Newlyn, Porthgwarra
and Lamorna Cove are all only a short drive away, and perfect for a lazy
day on the beach. Marazion beach and St Michael's Mount are about 2 miles
away, where you can walk across to the Mount at low tide. For those who
enjoy an active holiday... birdwatching, fishing, golf, surfing, horseriding
- these and other attractions are available within easy travelling distance
from Tol Pedn. |

Lying about a mile north-east of Land's End,
Whitesand Bay is made up of Sennen Cove and Gwynver Beach. The Atlantic
waves make it perfect for surfing and body boarding in the right conditions.
With excellent facilities from a very nice restaurant to the cosy Old Success
Inn, one could easily spend the whole day here! |
Cornwall's world famous open air theatre
can be found in Porthcurno, Penzance - the Minack Theatre. From May to September,
you can watch operas, musical and dramas wrapped in a blanket under the
stars! You can visit the theatre during the day nearly all year round and
marvel at this theatre cut into the cliffs.

Visit nearby Mousehole (pronounced "Mowzel")
- a picturesque Cornish village with its tiny harbour and famous cat. A
little further afield is the beautiful town of St Ives, where you can lie
on the golden sand, wander up and down the cobbled streets lined with quaint
cafes and shops, or while away the afternoon in the Tate Modern.

For a day out, a trip to Falmouth is a
must. Falmouth hosts many of Cornwalls most colourful and vibrant
events - Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week, Falmouth Oyster Festival, Falmouth Sea
Shanty Festival, Falmouth Spring Festival to name a few. There's also the
exciting National Maritime Museum, with its galleries, maritime library
and hands-on displays for the younger (and older!) visitors.

The Eden Project is a fantastic day out
for all the family and there's plenty to do all year round. Stunning gardens
and fantastic music and arts events combine with unforgettable learning
experiences to make an experience you'll want to repeat. A walk through
the biomes with their different climates makes you feel like you're in another
country! It's only 40 miles away from Tol Pedn.
